ARTIST
Miss Van began painting in the street at the age of 18 in the early 1990s. Her innovative style contrasts with urban art, which is traditionally masculine.
It is exhibited throughout the world, from Paris to New York, Los Angeles, Barcelona and even Manila. The trends that have influenced her work range from free figuration to 1950s pin-ups, Vaughn Bodé's comic strips and religious imagery.
His work evolved over time. The line became more refined and the drawing gained in detail. The stylized "dolls" of the beginning became more realistic, dark and expressive.
