ARTIST
Born in 1980, Escif lives and works in Valencia, Spain. Trained in art school, he invites himself into the public space with libertarian murals linked to environmental issues and resistance movements against the evils of capitalism.
He has worked in many countries, from Spain to Thailand, from Poland to India and Senegal. He has painted on the façade of the Museum of Modern Art in Valencia (2017), at the Power Station of Art Museum in Shanghai (2016) and as part of Banksy's "Dismaland" project in Weston-sur-Mare, England (2015).
He is currently working on a monumental project of reforestation through art of a hill of the Gulf of Sapri in the south of Italy: 5000 new trees planted outline the contours of a battery on a height which dominates the sea.
