Escif

Born in 1980, Escif lives and works in Valencia, Spain. Trained in art school, he invites himself into the public space with libertarian murals linked to environmental issues and resistance movements against the evils of capitalism.

He has intervened in many countries, from Spain to Thailand, from Poland to India or Senegal. He has made paintings on the facade of the Museum of Modern Art in Valencia (2017), at the Power Station of Art museum in Shanghai (2016) and as part of Banksy’s “Dismaland” project in Weston-on-Per-Mare in England (2015).

He is currently working on a monumental project of reforestation through art of a hill in the Gulf of Sapri in southern Italy: 5,000 new trees planted draw the contours of a battery on a height overlooking the sea.
